Aspen Four Pass Trail Run

Aspen Four Pass Trail Run

The Aspen Four pass loop starts at Maroon Lake and traverses four passes over 27 miles. The fires in Colorado were terrible during the Summer of 2020 and we were luck to be able to do it. It took us 9 hours to drive to Aspen because I70 through Glenwood Canyon was closed and Independence pass was closed.

The Maroon Lake valley was full of smoke - we almost bailed.

As we got higher toward Buckskin pass, the smoke wasn’t as bad.
