Mesquite Canyon 50 Mile Race

Staci and I set off to Phoenix for the Mesquite Canyon 50 mile race. We drove, stopping in Santa Fe for a couple days, then Flagstaff, then Phoenix for the race and then spent 2 days in Sedona recovering after the race. On the way home from Sedona we spent two nights in Fruita, Colorado where Rich got his first COVID shot.

We stopped in Santa Fe on the way to Arizona. The art studios there are amazing and had just started opening again since they shutdown for Covid.

There are lots of trails to run in Santa Fe. This picture is the top of Pichacho Peak.

On the way to Flagstaff we made a short stop at Petrified Forrest National Park. This is an amazing place to explore petrified remnants of prehistoric Forrests from the late Triassic period.

We found an old Airstream to stay in on Airbnb outside of Flagstaff, AZ.
